About Dr. Lucinda Grapenthin
Dr. Grapenthin earned her doctoral degree in psychology from Indiana State University and brings a deep understanding of clinical child psychology to our practice. Her journey began with an internship at the Hawthorn Center in Northville, MI, where she gained valuable experience working with children facing chronic mental health issues.
Having devoted nearly two decades to serving our community in Georgia, Dr. Grapenthin understands the unique needs of our families. Prior to her time in Georgia, she made her mark in Northern California and the Chicago area, gaining insights as a school psychologist in the Daly City Schools and the Chicago suburbs.
Dr. Grapenthin continues to serve as an educator and clinical director at Brenau University. In addition to her position at Brenau, Dr. Grapenthin also holds workshops in the community and at conferences around the United States. Her presentations cover topics such as: Play Therapy, Trauma, Creative Arts Therapy, Neurobiology, Sandtray Therapy, and Attachment. Furthermore, she contributes to the growth of play therapy by supervising clinicians to attain their play therapy certification in the field. Her passion for sharing knowledge about children, families, and clinical work is valued throughout the community.
